About Joyce Gerber

Joyce Gerber is a mom, caregiver, advocate, writer, and attorney whose work has centered around one core belief: storytelling has the power to change how we see each other — and ourselves.

As the founder and original host of The Canna Mom Show, Joyce spent over five years creating space for honest conversations about cannabis, caregiving, and the women shaping the industry. Through the podcast, she helped elevate voices that had long been overlooked, challenging stigma and building meaningful connections through shared experience.

After stepping away from the show in 2024, Joyce shifted her focus toward new creative work and continued advocacy. Her mission remains the same — to normalize cannabis, support caregivers, and foster communities rooted in openness, compassion, and collaboration.

Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Joyce is actively involved in civic and community organizations. Her path has never been conventional — she has managed a rock band, run for local office, and continues to explore new ways to connect and create. She holds degrees from Northeastern University, Tufts University, and Connecticut College.

Most recently, Joyce has brought her voice into fiction with her debut novel, She’s Taking a Break, a story that reflects the strength, complexity, and authenticity of the women she’s met throughout her journey in cannabis.

At her core, Joyce is a connector — someone who believes that community is not just something we belong to, but something we actively build together.
